Episode 240 - Turning The Crypto Corner
Back in 233, we covered the start of what’s called “The Crypto Winter” - that was back in early July in the midst of a series of token collapses, bankruptcies, and liquidity crunches - that’s stuff that happens in finance when things go wrong.
A few more of these aftershocks have occurred since the last time we spoke about this - but that’s not really what we cover here on the Local Maximum. What’s interesting about crypto winter - or any “valley of disillusionment” in emerging technology (and there's been several in the crypto world) is what’s happening underneath - how is the technology changing this winter that will set up either the phase of crypto adoption, the next bull run, or the next wave of innovations.
Several big changes are coming down the line. The large gorilla in the room is the so-called ethereum merge that is slated to happen in September.
